Thank you for your interest in BCS! My name is Kurt Hicklin: the owner, IT consultant, sole employee, and everything in between. I’ve been in the IT business for over 22 years, almost all of which was spent at the same organization, transitioning through various roles. Initially, I worked as a Systems Administrator, taking on everything from desktop support and server builds to cloud app integrations and VOIP solutions. Subsequently, I spent two years developing applications to support our medical claims department in a Pick/UniVerse database. And most recently, I served as the Director of Technology, leading multiple development teams and spearheading our IT help desk operations, while staying true to my commitment of hands-on user and system support.

IT guys can get a bad rep for human relations 😉
Throughout my experience in the corporate field, one thing I was often told set me apart is my patient and friendly approach. It’s important to me that everyone I help feels valued and respected. 

The shift from a corporate setting to a more personal, community-centric approach with Bainbridge Computer Services aligns seamlessly with my passion and values. My family and I love living here and I’m looking forward to serving the community I call home.

For over two decades, Bob Haslanger was the trusted troubleshooter for all things tech on Bainbridge Island for both homes and businesses alike. He was patient and kind, always ready to help without making anyone feel lost or out of touch.
